United in Diversity – Together for Tomorrow

This seminar brings together young people from Germany and Poland to explore Europe as a shared political, social, and cultural space shaped by diversity, cooperation, and ongoing transformation. The seminar focuses on how young Europeans can understand current challenges and actively contribute to a democratic, inclusive, and future-oriented Europe.

At a time of increasing social fragmentation, inequalities, and political polarisation, the seminar addresses key questions of European coexistence: How can diversity be lived constructively within democratic societies? How can social cohesion and solidarity be strengthened across borders and generations? And how can young people participate meaningfully in shaping Europe’s future?

A central focus lies on social inequalities, equality, and questions of justice, particularly regarding the distribution of opportunities, resources, and responsibilities within and between societies and generations.

The seminar also explores broader global developments, including digital transformation, social injustices, shifting geopolitical dynamics, and reflects on their implications for democracy, participation, and social responsibility.

In a transnational German-Polish context, participants engage with different perspectives and shared European challenges, developing a more nuanced understanding of complexity, conflict, and cooperation.

Overall, the seminar aims to strengthen democratic awareness, intercultural understanding, and a sense of shared responsibility—encouraging young people to see themselves as active contributors to a diverse and evolving Europe.
